They killed the light pole!

by Jim Morgan

I have no idea why they did this but in Andrews they put the light poles right up against the curb. In Midland the poles are all 3 feet or more away from the curbs but in Andrews this is not so.

The route that truck drivers take for their test runs right by the shop. Last year the light pole got hit 4 times and was replaced twice, every time by some one taking their commercial drivers license test.

We had our first pole knock-out of the year. This time we have a new twist. The driver had just passed his test and was returning to work with his newly won license.

This time our pole clipper did it very efficiently. There was no pole tap and then watch the pole slowly fall to the ground. This young man wiped out the pole in one hit.
